Candy Slick Glowy Lip Color
Sugar Coated Kiss
$8.49 (Shoppers Drug Mart)

"Binge on something sweet with our new Candy Slick Glowy Lip Color. Choose from 12 juicy tones—from haute red, to turquoise and poppin’ purple—for a hit of guiltless shine. While our super-fluid, sweetly scented lippie glosses your kisser in full-coverage color, the radiant finish doesn’t feel dry and delivers a luscious look that’s all glowy goodness. Muah!"

I'll start off by saying that the packaging is appealing and the actual product has a slight watermelon scent to it.  Which doesn't bother me any.  The shade Sugar Coated Kiss, is a very pretty but subtle on the lips.  The formula itself goes on very wet and I find theres a slight tingling feeling, just for a few seconds.  Nothing crazy or harsh but noticeable.  It's a bit sticky once applied, and it doesn't last very long at all.  So if you don't mind reapplying throughout the day, by all means give it a go.  I actually found myself wearing this on it's own or even pairing this with the NYX Lip Lingerie Shimmer in the shade Bare With Me (on top).  I found it helped the lasting power just a bit more.  Would I recommend this product?  Yes, but maybe pick it up when it's on sale or use some points.

Lip Lingerie Shimmer
Bare With Me
$10.49 (Shoppers Drug Mart)

"Reveal gorgeous nude lips and knockout shine with Lip Lingerie Gloss, Shimmers and Glitters. Our lustrous new collection of plush neutrals is destined to become your go-to gloss from this point forward. Choose from nine color-kissed lippies in with a shimmer sheen! Wear these glistening nudes alone or layered over their matching Matte Lipsticks for texture-shifting effects."

This lip shimmer gloss is great on its own or as my review title states a great lip topper.  On it's own it provides just enough color to show that you actually have something on, and also providing a nice shimmer effect.  Nothing to glittery and  outrageous.  It is a gloss, so it not long lasting but it keeps your lips feeling hydrated & soft.  There is a bit of a tackiness feel when wearing but nothing bad by any means.  I also found that this is great as a lipstick topper and I actually found myself wearing this Bare With Me shade, on top of the NYX Candy Slick Glowy Lip Color in Sugar Coated Kiss. They're pretty much in the same shade range and it wore and looked pretty good in my opinion but if your wanting to add a hint of pink shimmer to any lip color, I'm sure this would work just fine.  The only thing I will mention about me applying these two NYX products together, I got a bit of a tingling feeling on my lips.  Almost as if I put one of those lip plumping glosses on.  But when I wear them separate, I don't experience that. I don't know.  Maybe its all in my head.  LOL.  Either way, it does go away within a minute or two.  I have to say I'm pretty happy with this shimmer.  Again not long lasting (see my one "swipe" swatch test 3rd shade down), and I would definitely consider getting this in the future.

Glitter Goals Liquid Lipstick
Cherry Quartz
$12.49 (Shoppers Drug Mart)

"Shift just got real with our brand-new Glitter Goals Liquid Lipstick. Available in nine transformative tones, this matte liquid lipstick glides on metallic and switches to a stunning glitter finish. Here’s how to make the magic happen: Swipe on the smooth shade you can’t get enough of and let it set. Then simply smack your lips together to spark the twinkly twist. (Yep, it’s super-duper easy!) The dazzling effect might just inspire you to go for a glitter lip every single day."

When I was deciding on which shade to select online, I was going by the little shade boxes that are shown and I when you select Cherry Quartz, the shade box is more on the pink/mauve side and not on the cherry/red side.  So I took a chance in hoping it was more towards the "shade pink", but knowing the actual name, I should of known better (hopefully that made sense).  I am not a red wearing lipstick kind of gal and add glitter on top of that.  It's just not me but I for the sake of trying new things, I gave this shade Cherry Quartz, a go.  Like my review title states, I was happily surprised.  Am I wearing this everyday?  No, but its staying in my collection and I will wear it from time to time, and I would consider wearing and purchasing other shades because this formula is easy to apply, goes on evening, lasts a very long time, and it wears nicely throughout the day.  The glitter didn't even bother me because it's not BAM, in your face.  The product its self does have a slight odd perfume scent, but doesn't linger while wearing. When it comes to removing, I needed to use a cleansing oil because this stuff Stays Put.  With all that being said.  Yes, I would purchase this shade again, and I would also try other shades as well.  The only thing is I would perhaps wait for a sale, use coupons/points but that's me just being me.

Liquid Suede Metallic Cream Lipstick
Exposed
$9.99 (Shoppers Drug Mart)

"Wrap Your Lips In High-Impact Metallic Color With Liquid Suede Metallic Matte, A Striking New Lip Inspired By Our Best-Selling Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick. Available In 12 Statement-Making Shades, These Shockingly Creamy Lippies Deliver Instant Dimension And Incredible Color Payoff. In Other Words, Get Ready To Slay."

This formula for the Liquid Suede Metallic Matte, is very long lasting.  Its easy to apply with the wand and it dries very fast.  This shade Exposed, is more on the glittery side compared to a full on metallic shade. I was a little worried on how this was going to look on me but I have to admit, even with the glitter, it wasn't too bad.  Sarah, that's for you :p  Definitely not an everyday go to lipstick, but for an evening out, special occasion etc... This would work great.  The only downside I find with this is that once it's applied, your lips are feeling it.  It feels in my opinion as if you have a dry, thin, glittery (rough) layer, coating your lips.  Which doesn't go away because of the staying power of this stuff.  With that said it's also not the easiest to remove.  You take the good with the bad.   I needed to use a cleansing oil for this to come off.  But I'd rather fight with trying to take it off at the end of the day then having to fight and reapply over and over throughout the day.  Would I recommend this product?  For sure.  The shade Exposed, like I said maybe not for everyday but you do you.  I actually have a shade from last year called Biker Babe, and I got a lot of compliments when wearing it and the formula is still the same.  Easy to apply and long lasting.  So definitely try this.

Soft Matte Lip Cream
Istanbul
$9.49 (Shoppers Drug Mart)

"Neither Lipstick Nor Lip Gloss, This Matte Lip Cream Is A New Kind Of Lip Color That Goes On Silky Smooth And Sets To A Matte Finish. Soft Matte Lip Cream Is Surprisingly Durable And Unlike Some Matte Lipstick Formulas Also Moisturizing."

This is my second shade I have had in the NYX Soft Matte Cream.  The first one I purchased (keep in mind, this was probably a year & half ago), I liked how it applied and how it initially looked but within an hour or so, it just was went down hill.  So I wasn't really inclined to try any other shade but when I was asked to try it again for free for reviewing purposes, I decided to give a different shade a try, hoping maybe the formula might of had something to do with it.  So if you are reading this, you probably know that I went with the shade Istanbul.  I found it goes on nicely, it did last longer than the shade I tried before.  Not long lasting like in an all day kind of thing, but a descent amount of time.  I'm saying 2-3 hours and then it fades off.  Definitely needs to be re-applied after eating and drinking.  Downside I found with this though, is yes, you need to re-apply, it does make your lips feel dry a bit, but the major thing I found is that you get this "inner clumped up ring" , and that doesn't look very good.  It's like where your lips come together and it just keeps gathering and clumping over time and honestly you probably better off wiping off and re-applying.  My opinion is that, this is good for a short period of time but not worth it, if you need to go longer.  I would still consider purchasing and trying other shades, even though the wear time isn't amazing.  Also a side note on this shade.  It dries down to almost a baby pink and in different lights it can throw off your look.  Done that.  Oops. LOL.

The Swatch Test:

The One Wipe Removal Test (wink):

As mentioned above:

Liquid Suede Metallic Cream Lipstick (2nd) & Glitter Goals Liquid Lipstick (5th)
are tough to remove.

Side Note:  I believe (and I could be wrong) the Shoppers Drug Mart website is relatively new, in the sense of "online shopping" and I found that there were small glitches here and there.  It just might be my programmer background noticing these things but for example the shade options didn't match up with the actual product or the shade picture was non existent.

I'm sure it's something that is being worked on but the overall online shopping experience was an easy process and their shipping was super fast (standard free shipping).

I like to thank TopBox Circle & Shoppers Drug Mart for the opportunity to try these products for free in exchange for my opinion.
