My Review:
I've been trying this foundation for about two weeks now and I have come to the conclusion, that like my above title says, it's "Average & Good". Firstly I like to say a big Thank you, for adding a pump (sooo much better). Shade range is amazing for a drug store foundation with 45-48 shades (Note: The advertisement card I have in front of me says 45 shades, but below that it shows the different shades and me being me, I counted and it's actually 48. Lol. So reason why I have 45-48).
Okay, getting to the actually review here. One of the "features" is this foundation is suppose to improve your skin quality in 2 weeks... Did I notice anything? Yes. My skin was in better shape. But I don't think it really had a lot to do with the foundation. Could it have helped? Possibly. Next does it provide 24 hour hydration? Again, sadly I'm saying that this foundation (and it could just be my skin) isn't very moisturizing at all for a foundation claiming to have moisturizer mixed in. I found this to be very dry on my skin. Up close you can definitely notice texture & dry patches. Coverage wise I'd say its light/medium, but it blends out very well, so thumbs up for that but then it does transfer through out the day (so thumbs down), but it overall does stay put for the majority of the day (8hrs), if you don't touch your face... Good luck with that #facemasks.
Another observation I had was the first few times I wore this, I found it worked better without a primer. I think this foundation is one of those ones you just have to play around with to find that perfect "combo", to make it work for you. Like, I said I didn't use a primer but I did use a setting spray and that helped. I'm sorry that I have been all over the place with this review, but as I type more things pop into my head to say.
Overall do I recommend this? For the price/quality... It's ok (which I've said a few times now). I think it's a good everyday type of foundation but the effort to make it work the best for you might not be worth it. I think, there's probably other foundations out there that you would probably have better luck with (in my opinion). If this sat better on my skin, I'd give it a thumbs up but for me it's a pass.
I'd like to thank L'Oreal Paris Canada & Topbox Circle for giving me the opportunity to try this for free in exchange for my review and honest opinion. #freeproduct #trywithtopbox.
For the pics. shown below.
If my hair is up, those were the first week. If my hair is down, two week mark.
Thanks.
