June TopBox Review
For June's TopBox, I have to give it an average rating. I was excited to receive some new & different products but another pink nail polish for my collection, a bronzing lotion for my pale skin (yikes), funky wipes, and a aloe face mask which I did like but all and all just an OK box.

The products I received were the following:
(For a more detailed explanation & links on what I received, please see my previous post.. June Reveal)

1. St. Tropez Self Tan Bronzing Face Lotion - When I first seen this my first reaction was "Nope! Not a chance". Anything that's self tanning/bronzing related I usually turn the other way. Me, being so pale and all :P I have two colors.. I'm either pale white or burnt red (I am Canadian after all Red & White).. So I don't like the idea of adding patchy/streaking brown to the mix. So I was initially going to give this away to some one but I did decide to give it a go... But not on my face. Yet... I first tried this out on one of my arms and compared it to my other. There was a very slight increase in color. If I were to ask someone to pick out the arm that I applied the bronzing lotion to, I would say that they would probably wouldn't see the difference. I know that this product is probably a gradual thing that the more you apply the more it's going to build and show up. So if you are looking for something to slowly increase/add color to your face (or where ever) this will do that. After trying this on my arm I seeing that I probably wasn't going to come out looking streaky, I tried it on my face. Like my arm(s), there wasn't a major change thankfully and if I wanted to have a bronzed/tanned face to go with the rest of my white body then this would work. So yes, it does what it claims:
"Specially designed for the delicate skin on your face, this lotion cleverly combines St.Tropez Self Tan with skin care benefits. This light and easily absorbed lotion delivers intense hydration and a beautiful sun kissed colour, without blocking pores."
Received 5ml sample. Retail $38 for 50ml.
Available at Shoppers Drug Mart, Murale, Murale.ca, Hudson's Bay and London Drugs.

2. China Glaze Nail Lacquer w/ Hardeners: 726 Laced Up - Well there's not a whole lot to say about this. It's just another nail polish and a another pink one at that. It claims to have nail hardeners but I usually use a nail hardener base coat anyways and I didn't really notice any added "strength" to my nails.. Like any nail polish I find this still chipped/peeled. So definitely nothing super special. I received the color 726 Laced Up, and it's well a shade darker than Pepto Bismol. LOL. Seriously!
"These unique lacquers contain China Clay as a nail hardener, the same material that gives porcelain its shiny finish."
Received full size 14ml. Retail $10.
Available at professional nail salons.
(Also Sally's Beauty, Wal-mart & Drug Stores. I think.)

3. Fruits & Passion Aloe Face Mask - I have to say this face mask was so-so. It left my face feeling nice & smooth/refreshed. My face still felt moisturized throughout the very next day. Which was a plus. Anything smelling/containing aloe is usually a bonus... But there were two downsides to this. I found it irritated the skin around my chin (my lovely problem area) and didn't help my breakouts. Truthfully, it probably caused a bit more. Also the other thing I noticed, it made my pores bigger/stand out a lot more. To me that doesn't really improve the appearance of your skin, thinking the idea is to minimize pores but hey, you like showing your pores. Good for you :) Would I buy this face mask again. I would like to say yes, only because how it left the top part of my face feel/look but with my chin breakouts and how it made my pores look.. Then sadly, I have to say this is a pass and I won't be buying this again.
"This refreshing Face Mask with aloe extract contains an essence specially formulated to improve the appliance of your skin. Your skin is moisturized, softened and more luminous"
"For all skin types, this non-greasy formula leaves skin wrapped in a velvety-soft finish."
Received Single - Use mask. Retail $2.50 each.

4. Paula's Choice Clinical KP Treatment Cloths: All skin types. Contains Salicylic & Lactic Acid. - First I feel like I have to define KP. Because if your like me you probably don't have a clue what KP stands for or what it is.
KP = Keratosis Pilaris: "is a common, harmless skin condition. It causes small, hard bumps that may make your skin feel like sandpaper. The bumps are often light-colored. They usually appear on your upper arms, thighs, and buttocks, sometimes with redness or swelling. They can also show up on your face, but that's less common. Except for some itching, keratosis pilaris doesn't hurt and doesn't get worse. Many children and teens get it, and it usually disappears as they get older."
Now I don't have KP but I do have this nice little red bump on my leg (can't remember what my doc. called it) that apparently will never go away so I said frig it, I'll try this on my legs.. I used one cloth for each night for 3 nights and I didn't expect anything to happen and guess what nothing did happen but one the smell of these cloths is awful (reason I stopped after 3 nights) along with the reason the cloths made my legs feel like they were burning after using them.. So I stopped. I received a pack of 10 cloths, so I'm either going to give the rest away or I found that you can use these cloths on your face so I may try spot treating my breakouts on my chin, but we will see.... Since writing that last little bit, I did try using these cloths on my chin area where I have breakouts, and I didn't see any improvement. Again sadly, this is also a pass :(
